A Supporting Role tells the story of micronutrient deficiencies and what Vitamin Angels is doing to help solve this serious worldwide health problem through the lens of three young filmmakers along for the ride.
About Vitamin Angels
Vitamin Angels helps at-risk populations in need—specifically pregnant women, new mothers and children under five—gain access to lifesaving and life changing vitamins and minerals. In 2013, Vitamin Angels reached 30 million children in about 45 countries, including the US, with the vital nutrients they need as a foundation for good health. In 2014, they are working to reach 40 million children.

Winner of the 2015 Seattle regional American Advertising Award (ADDY) in the Public Service category. Silver winner in the district awards, and qualification for the national ADDY.
Vitamin Angels’ story as told by NFFTY
The National Film Festival for Talented Youth is a flagship program of Talented Youth, a 501 c (3) non-profit arts organization founded in 2007. NFFTY has grown into the world’s largest youth film festival and each year showcases films by directors age 22 and under.
